Frequently asked questions
-
What does GEO mean, and how is it different from SEO?
Generative engine optimization is the practice of making a site legible to systems that read pages and summarize them, rather than only to systems that rank them. In practice the two overlap heavily: both reward clear pages, real text in the HTML, accurate structured data, and consistent business details.
The difference is emphasis. Classic SEO work often aims at position in a list of links. Our work aims at whether a machine reading your page can state, correctly and without guessing, what you do, where you are, when you are open, and how to reach you. We treat that as the deliverable because it is the part we can actually control and verify.
-
Do you guarantee rankings, AI citations, traffic, or revenue?
No. We do not promise search positions, mentions in AI answers, visitor numbers, lead counts, or revenue, and we would be suspicious of any studio that does. Those outcomes depend on your market, your competitors, your reputation, your pricing, and the private ranking decisions of companies none of us work for.
What we are accountable for is the site itself: that it is clear, that the facts on it are true and consistent, that they exist as readable text, and that the structured data matches what the page says.
-
Why don't you publish prices or packages?
Because a published number would be wrong for most projects, and you would only find that out after we had both invested time. Two businesses can ask for the same seven-page site and one takes two weeks while the other takes two months, depending on whether the content exists, how many locations and languages are involved, what has to be integrated, and how much of the current site's information is trapped in images and PDFs.
Every project is quoted after a review, as one number for a defined scope.
-
So how much will my site cost?
We cannot answer that honestly before looking. Send your current URL or the words "no site", your city, and what has to work at launch. The review is free, and the quote that follows is a fixed number for a written scope rather than an estimate that grows.
-
How does payment work?
You receive a written scope covering the pages, deliverables, exclusions, schedule, and total. Nothing starts until you accept it. A deposit is due after acceptance, and the remaining balance is due before launch. If the scope changes along the way, we quote the change in writing before doing the work.
-
Who owns the domain, the hosting, and the content?
You do. The registrar and hosting accounts are in your name from the start, and the content is yours. If you decide to work with someone else later, you take a functioning site with you. There is nothing for us to release, because none of it is held in our name.
-
What should I send to request a review?
Three things: your current website address, or the words "no site"; the city or region you operate in; and what has to work on launch day. The last one matters most, so be specific — the phone ringing, online booking, correct hours for four locations, a menu readable on a phone, a catalogue a buyer can search. Mention a deadline if you have one.
-
Can I reach you on WhatsApp?
Yes. Message +1 (516) 888-0758 any time — it is usually the fastest way to reach a person directly. Email works just as well and keeps a written record tied to the project, which we rely on once a scope is underway.
-
What do I get back from the review, and how long does it take?
A written note listing the specific problems we found, in priority order, with what we would do about each and what we would leave alone. It includes anything you can fix yourself at no cost, such as a wrong phone number on a map listing. We aim to reply within a few business days, and we will tell you if a request will take longer.
If we think a template, a different studio, or no new site at all would serve you better, the note says that.
-
I don't have a website at all. Is that a problem?
No, and it is often easier. Write "no site" and send whatever you do have — a social profile, a marketplace listing, printed materials, a competitor's site you think does it well. Starting from nothing means there is no accumulated inconsistency to unpick.
-
Can you improve my existing site instead of rebuilding it?
Sometimes, and we will say so if it is the better option. If the content is sound and the problems are structural — facts stuck in images, markup contradicting the page, contact routes that fail on a phone — repair can be the right call. If the underlying platform makes it impossible to serve real text, or the content itself has to be rewritten anyway, rebuilding usually costs less than repeatedly working around the constraint.
-
Do I have to write the content myself?
No, though the facts have to come from you. We write and edit as part of the scope. What we will not do is invent hours, credentials, service areas, certifications, testimonials, or reviews. Somebody at your business has to confirm that each statement is true before it is published — that confirmation is the foundation the rest of the work rests on.
-
What do you build on? Will I be locked into a platform?
We build fast, standards-based sites that serve real HTML, and we choose the simplest technology that meets the requirements — which for most marketing sites means static pages rather than a heavy content system. Where you need to edit content yourself, we set up an editing route that fits how your team actually works.
Whatever we use, the site is hosted in your account and the content is portable. We do not build on anything that would make leaving expensive.
-
Do you work with businesses outside Colorado?
Yes. Lizzian LLC is registered in Colorado and we work with businesses across the United States. The work is done remotely, by email and WhatsApp.
-
Do you build multilingual sites?
Yes, when the translations can be trusted. Each language gets its own URLs, navigation, and markup rather than a script that swaps words on the page. We will not publish machine-translated pages that nobody who speaks the language has read — a single honest language is better than three careless ones.
-
Is accessibility included, or is it an extra?
It is included. Keyboard navigation, visible focus states, meaningful alt text, real form labels, sensible heading order, and adequate colour contrast are part of how we build, not a line item. They are also, not coincidentally, most of what makes a page legible to a machine.
-
Do you add analytics or tracking?
Only if you ask for it, and it goes in your own account. We default to the minimum a site needs to function. This site itself runs no analytics, no advertising tags, and no third-party trackers.
-
Do you offer ongoing maintenance?
Optionally, quoted separately, and never as a condition of launching. The site works without a retainer. Ongoing updates make sense for businesses whose hours, staff, menus, or catalogues change often enough that keeping them consistent is a real job.
-
What kinds of projects do you turn down?
Anyone who wants a guaranteed ranking or citation. Projects where the requirement is the cheapest possible site — a builder subscription genuinely serves that better. Businesses that cannot confirm their own facts. Web applications and logged-in products, which need a product team rather than a studio. And anything designed to mislead: fabricated testimonials, invented addresses, markup claiming things the page does not say, or pages targeting towns you do not serve.
